Our Auburn Tiger!

Wedding (continued)

Here are some more wedding pictures!

John Henry & Paige's Wedding

John Henry & Paige were married on June 21, 2008. John Henry is the son of my friend, Cheri. Dan and John Henry have been friends since we moved to Birmingham in 1992. Dan was in the wedding. The first 3 pictures are at the rehearsal dinner which was held at the B&A Warehouse, the wedding at The First United Methodist Church in downtown Birmingham and the reception was at The Loft at Flower Stems. Everything was beautiful!

Work at the Lake

A few weeks ago we had a storm come through and we decided to ride by the lake on our way to Auburn to check out our property. When we got there Jay's sailboat had been knocked off the trailer (just the back end), and luckily it was not damaged. We had some shingles that blew off the boathouse and a tree limb was on the roof across the deck. Also, the top of one of the trees was broken although it was still connected. It did not come down on the house for which we are very thankful. We went to the lake a couple of weeks later and Jay and Jimmy cut down the part that was hanging. Jay tried to climb up using his climbing gear, but couldn't get enough traction to go up - he needed some spikes on the bottom of his shoes - ha! But they were able to get it down and we got the area cleaned up by the end of the day - it was a L-O-N-G day!

Summer with Wyatt

I have had fun with Wyatt this summer! He is 4 months now (my how time flies) and is growing every day. He is beginning to turn over, explore his hands and grasp his bottle. Here are some pictures that I've taken over the past few months.

Wyatt's Safari Trip

My friends, Mary & Cheri, and I took Wyatt over to my friend (Lee) sister's house and took pictures of Wyatt with the animals in their house. As you can see from the pictures they are BIG GAME hunters.

Memorial Day (continued)

Leesa & JR tried to fish off the dock. They did not have any luck! Leesa also rescued a small duckling that was left behind. We took a pontoon boat ride over to our friend's house, but they were not home. It was so hot, we took time to cool off in the lake.

Summer Interns

Leesa and Allison are doing their internship here for the summer. Allison is staying with us while she is interning. Both girls will graduate in August, 2008! Leesa is at Hoover Princeton and Allison is interning at The Birmingham Surgery Center! Allison got engaged a week ago and we are very excited for her!

Memorial Day at the Lake

We went to the lake for Memorial Day. Jay wasn't able to be with us as he went sailing with friends in Panama City. Here is Jimmy relaxing on the pontoon boat! Wyatt & Grandma get ready for a boat ride.

Wyatt in his cradle!

Here is a picture of Wyatt in the cradle that his Great Grandfather made many, many years ago.

This is Wyatt's going home from the hospital picture! Doesn't he look cute in his Auburn outfit!
Well, I wanted to try to keep everyone up-dated on what is happening in our household, so I decided to try out this blog site. Let me know what you think.

Things are going along very well here at our house. Here is an up-date:

Jimmy still works at Buffalo Rock and travels some. He would like to play golf more often than he does and also go to the lake more, hopefully, one or the other will work out!

Jay has been with Cash Register Systems (CRS) for over 2 years now and likes it very much. They lost a technician about a year ago so he has to be on call every other week and weekend, so he is staying very busy with that.

Dan is at Enterprise Rent-A-Car and just recently passed the next level exam which makes him eligable to put his name in the hat for Assistant Manager jobs that come open within the company.

Alexis works for a local dentist four days a week and it is going well. She is off on Friday which is nice, so she can spend time with Wyatt.

Wyatt is 4 months old now and is the joy of our house! He is a VERY good baby!

Leesa is home from Auburn doing her internship in Health Administration at Hoover-Princeton, which is just down the street. She will graduate from Auburn in August.

I am keeping Wyatt Mon-Thurs and it is really fun to watch him grow and explore! He is just beginning to turn over and his smiles will just melt your heart. I'll post some pictures soon!
